Shane relocated to NYC in 1990 from Atlanta, GA. From the first day The Eagle was (and is) his main bar. When the roof deck opened a few years back there came the ability to smoke on the roof of the bar. Over the years a coterie of cigar smokers started showing up for informal cigar socials. As time passed Shane began to associate with this group of cigar smokers, leather men, etc. After some time, he got drawn into smoking cigars and never looked back. Shane will be taking over hosting duties going forward from Jack MacCullum who has hosted the cigar social over the past few years.

Brent Seeley
Raised in New England, Brent moved to the northwest in the 1990s. He lived there 20 years, one of those years spent as Mr. Oregon State Leather, after which joined the Blackout Leather Productions board which produced the title. During this time, discovered cigars and started the monthly First Friday Leather, Scotch, and Cigar Social at the Eagle in Portland, Oregon. (Still a fun event if you’re in the area.). Brent moved to NYC in the latter part of 2019 just as Covid began reducing opportunities for social cigar smoking and is now determined to make up for lost time!
